Kai Organic started as a passion project for owners Maxie and her husband Richard who wanted to do their part in reducing their carbon footprint by supporting businesses that used or sold up or recycled goods. While on this journey they found very few Cafes in their town that showed how they were doing their part in reducing their carbon footprint, this discovery stirred them to start their own Cafe to show others how to reduce carbon emissions while still providing an excellent service and showing the wonderful Maori cuisine to everyone.
